An international Sports Fair titled The Sporting Side of Serbia – A Meeting of Champions was opened at the Belgrade Fair on Friday at a ceremony attended by many athletes, sports association officials and visitors.
Addressing the guests at the opening ceremony, Minister of Youth and Sport Vanja Udovicic said that Serbian athletes have won 521 medals in 2015.
“All records are broken – thanks to everyone who made it possible for the Serbian flag to make it to podiums around the world 521 times. We have set high standards, but in sports you must only look ahead and I expect next year – which will be a pre-Olympic one – to be even better,” Udovicic said.
