An International Monetary Fund (IMF) team that is to visit Belgrade will initiate discussions about the fourth review of the stand-by arrangement, but the conclusion will be made after the elections and the formation of a new government, IMF Resident Representative James Roaf said Wednesday.

Due to the upcoming elections, the IMF team and the Serbian authorities have agreed that the discussions about the fourth review be concluded after the next visit, when the new government is expected to be formed, the IMF office in Belgrade quoted Roaf as saying.

The IMF team will be visiting Belgrade from February 18 through 26, Roaf said.

Serbia has concluded a precautionary stand-by arrangement with the IMF in February 2015.

The deal is worth around EUR 1.2 billion, but the government has decided not to draw funds.
