Reservations for winter vacations at Serbian mountains are already in the midst, but something that attracted our attention is the fact that this year, over 90 per cent of the travel arrangements for New Year’s holidays at Zlatibor have already been sold.

This year, winter season will last a little longer than usual, because the number of school break days is larger, thus the demand for accommodation at mountains has also increased. That is, it is expected that the high season this year will last longer than 50 days.

As it was announced from the Tourist Organization of Zlatibor, numerous guests from Republika Srpska, Montenegro and Vojvodina are expected.

„We are expecting that ski resort Tornik will start working in the next few days, the artificial snow is being made because there is not enough of the natural snow, but meteorologists have announced that there will be precipitation around New Year. The ski resort will work in its full capacity at every ski trail, bobsled and any other content“, stressed the Executive Manager of Tourist Organization of Zlatibor Arsen Đurić.

In the very center of Zlatibor, there is a ski trail adapted to the beginners, recreational skiers and children and it will work throughout the season. The large skating rink will be open as well, just like the previous years.

The Executive Manager said that there are several sledding trails, but also the walking paths for those who don’t ski, but still want to enjoy in the natural beauties of this magnificent mountain.

Zlatibor is still the most visited by the domestic tourists, but the number of visitors from foreign countries is in increase year after year. Among foreign tourists, there are those from former Yugoslavian republics, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Germany and the Netherlands.
