The Serbian government adopted the 2016 draft budget law on Wednesday, envisaging revenues of RSD 997.4 billion and expenditures of RSD 1,119 billion.

The 2016 fiscal deficit is planned to amount to RSD 121.8 billion, reads a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance.

This budget, as well as the 2015 budget, is backed by the International Monetary Fund being the crucial part of the program for simultaneous tackling with the problem of deficit and structural problems caused by the deficit, reads the statement.

The 2016 budget is drafted based on the prognoses that the GDP will total 1.75 percent and inflation run at 2.8 percent.
