From those with lots of interesting things to do, across those where you can have a picnic and enjoy in the nature, to those with cultural and historic landmarks, the Belgrade parks are a station you shouldn’t miss out on if you’re visiting this city with your little ones.
The largest and most well known is certainly the Kalemegdan Park, in which you can find the Dino Park. Then there are Tašmajdan, Hyde, Topčider, Košutnjak, Karađorđev, Manjež and Pionirski parks, but also a forest park at Banjica and Zvezdara. In each of those you will find lots of greenery, cultural and historical monuments, fun things for kids, and space for relaxation and rest, as well as for picnics and enjoyment.
Ada Ciganlija is the famous picnic spot in the city, where you can also swim and rest. The artificial lake is surrounded by dense pine and oak forests, many cafes and restaurants, as well as numerous possibilities for various sports activities, which makes it a perfect place in Belgrade for an exciting and fulfilled day with your kids.
Whether you decide to tour the Ada by bicycles that you can rent here, by tourist train or by foot, one thing is for sure – neither you nor your kids will get bored. During summer months here you can swim, sunbathe, go water skiing or simply enjoy in some bar on the beach, while other times of year are ideal for long walks, fieldtrip organizing, exploring the diverse animal and plant life, but also other numerous hobby activities.
In Serbia’s capital you can visit nearly 40 art, cultural and historical, memorial, technology, and natural history museums. However, if you’re planning on going to these cultural and historical stations with your kids, we suggest that you cut down to several ones that your kids will really enjoy and that will leave the most impact.
