Smoked Ham Festival “Pršutijada 2013”

The traditional Smoked Ham Fair starts on Friday the January the 11th in Zlatibor mountain in village Mačkat and lasts until Sunday January the 13th.
At the Smoked Ham Fair there is the competition of the beef and pork smoked ham, sausages and bacon producers, together with the interesting cultural and entertaining programme.
Visitors will have opportunity to taste and buy the famous specialties of Zlatibor. The event will be followed by old songs and trumpeters, whose sounds can be heard from all corners of the fair tent, but outside.
Each year, the fair offers a rich cultural program, various handicraft exhibitions, and lectures in the field of agriculture.
Program:
Friday, the January 11th at 11AM:
The opening ceremony and announcement of the winners followed by artistic program:
– Dejan Jevdjić Brass orchestra
– The original singing group “Slivovitz” (“Šljivovica”)
Saturday, the January 12th at 1PM:
The prize game for visitors and the rich artistic program after that.
– Program of “Milivoje Barović Primary School” students.
Sunday, the January 13th at 6PM:
Closing ceremony of the event
