Review of independent films in “Serbian Holywood”

The 2nd Review of the independent Serbian off-films is being organized from July 27th till July 29th in the ambient of the “Serbian Holywood” in the village of Mutanj, at Mt. Rudnik.

Seven new films made in the so called house workshops will be presented at the Festival and will compete for the award “Šumski patuljak” (Forest dwarf). Another two films out of the competition will be presented to the audience.

The official program includes the films “Obrt” (Turnover) by Srdjan Stojanović from Belgrade, “To moram” (I have to do that) by Branko Radaković from Bač, “Filozof iz našeg sokaka” (Philosopher from our street) by the professor Dragan Krstić and Vladimir Karadžić from Subotica, “Putevima Tibora Sekelja” (Following Tibor Sekelj) by Stipan Milodanović from Subotica, “Potpisani” (The Signed) – the second episode “Šifra” (Code) and the third episode “Voz” (Train) by Marko Kovač from Belgrade, and “Hipnoza” (Hypnosis) by Kosta Marinković from Gornji Milanovac.

The film on the last year’s Review – “60’” by Miroslav Nikolić and Bata Petrović, also the author of the film “Srpski mjuzikl – 60’” (Serbian musical – 60’), will be presented at the Festival.

“Serbian Holywood” is a work of young enthusiast Ivan Jakovljević, called Ivo-Car. The “Holywood” sign is set on a hill above the Ibar highway, 105 km from Belgrade.
