Nisomnia 2012

The Niš Nisomnia Festival is taking place on September 7th and 8th at Niš Fortress. Besides the bands that are entering the competition, the famous band “Ritam nereda” from Novi Sad, “Magnifico” from Ljubljana and Vudu Popaj have also confirmed their participation in the festival.

On Friday, September 7th, starting at 19.00, film “Mi plačemo iza tamnih naočara” (We’re crying behind dark glasses) is being screened at the Niš Cultural Center, while on Sunday, September 8th, visitors can see the film about the rock band “Zlatni prsti” (Golden Fingers) from Zaječar.

The music program starts on Friday, September 7th, in the trenches of the fortress when the band “Nahty” from Niš is entering the main stage at 22.00, followed by Robert Tilly and Panorama from Subotica, and the most famous performers that evening will be Vudu Popaj (at 23.20) and Magnifico from Slovenia (at midnight).

Till early morning visitors of the festival will enjoy the music of Ajs Nigrutin, Mikri, Bvana, Timbe and Eufrat joined under the name „Sve barabe“.

Saturday, September 8th is reserved for the competition when four bands – Loading, Foreplay, Vidon and United Kingdom of Tzarina, are performing in front of the Nisomnia audience.

After the competition, the main stage will host the band “Zoster” from Mostar, and the biggest star of that night is surely the legendary band “Ritam nereda” that will be performing till late at night at the main stage.

Both evenings have prepared also something for the fans of disco-house music on the DJ stage at the Summer Stage of the Fortress, where local DJs Lale, Marko Vuković and Enes will be playing the music on the first evening of the festival. On Saturday, besides great local DJs, we’ll also have a chance to see the performance of DJ Fugas from Barcelona.
