The Slovenian acoustic ethno band “Kontra kvartet” (Contra Quartet) will be performing within the program of “Novi Sad Music Summer” on Tuesday, August 14th, in the garden of “Srednješkolski dom”. They will be performing traditional Jewish Klezmer music.
“Kontra kvartet” was founded nine years ago and the band has been performing across Slovenia and in abroad, trying to interpret the rich sound of this specific music in the most authentic way possible. Besides performing in different concert venues, the band often holds concerts in synagogues as well.
The “Novi Sad Music Summer 2012” starts on July 17th and lasts till August 24th. Besides numerous concerts of classic music and popular music, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the sounds of salsa, tango, ethno, jazz, klezmer and latin music. All together 10 different programs will take place mostly in the garden of “Srednjoškolski dom” in Nikolajevska St, and in the Synagogue.
This summer the city of Novi Sad will host numerous artists from our country as well as from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Portugal, Australia and Cuba.
The tickets can be purchased at the price range between 300 and 500 RSD in the offices of Musical Youth of Novi Sad, on working days from 8.00 till 14.00, as well as two hours before the concert at the concert venue.
