The festival of trumpet, one of the most famous manifestations in Serbia, is taking place for the 52nd time from August 6th till August 12th in Guča. For a half a century authentic sound of trumpet, great time and the unique festival atmosphere in Guča have been attracting hundreds of tourists from around the world.
First three days of the trumpet festival are reserved for side manifestations, excursions, exhibitions, performances of brass orchestras that are not entering the competition.
On Thursday, August 9th, and Friday, August 10th, the festival atmosphere raises just before the central event of the manifestation awaiting us on Saturday, August 11th.
The first day of the festival will host the International Brass Band Competition on the stage set at the stadium, with the beginning at 20.00, followed by the concert held by DJ Shantel & Bucovina Club Orchestra. The performance of Dejan Petrović and his Big Band at 23.00 will stir up the atmosphere once again.
Friday is reserved for the competition of young brass orchestras taking place at the stage of the Cultural Center. The same night, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the Night of religious music and the concert of the Teofilović Brothers.
On Saturday all visitors and locals will be woken up by the “Wakening call of the trumpeters”, there is no time to rest as in Guča fun lasts all day long.
After the Festival parade of the participants, Improvisation of traditional Dragačevo wedding and numerous other manifestations, the central event of the manifestation – Final competition of brass bands (seniors) takes place at 21.00 on the stage at the stadium.
Waiting for the winners to be announced, the audience will enjoy the concert of Miroslav Ilić, legend of Serbian folk music.
This year’s “Guča” will be closed on Sunday, August 12th with the concert of the Serbian folk diva, Svetlana Ceca Ražnjatović, accompanied by the trumpet master Dejan Lazarević.
