The 41st International Film Festival – FEST is taking place from February 22nd till March 3rd at the Sava Center and other venues under the slogan “Ready, Set, FEST”. FEST will be officially opened by American actor Michael Madsen.
This year’s FEST will be marked by extremely varied program, by current films as well as by presence of famous worlds directors and actors.
In addition to films that have already win awards last year, remarkable FEST program includes a few works that are serious contenders in the race for this year’s Oscars. As it is already a tradition, the festival will, be opened by the film that won the Golden Palm – “Love” by Michael Haneke. That film is also a candidate for the Oscar in several categories (for the best picture and best director). Goran Markovic’s new movie “Forger” closes 41st FEST, and that will be the world premiere of this film, also.
The well known FEST programs (“The Program”, “Europe out of Europe”, “Hollywood”, “Europe in Europe”, “World Film Panorama”, “Selected documentaries”, “In Focus: South America”, “FEST presents: The new Serbian Film”) will include 75 films premieres.

The “Round table” discussion about the future of film and digital revolution in the seventh art will be held as a an accompanying program of FEST. The “Round table” participants are protagonists of the film “Albert’s time,” Albert Meyer “Panavision camera” creator, Nikša Sviličić – director from Croatia, Predrag Bambić as a moderator as well as a local film experts.
As in previous years, the Festival will be held at the Sava Center, Belgrade Youth Centre, Hall of The Cultural Centre of Belgrade, in the Cinematheque, and the novelty is that films will be shown in “Fontana” cinema in New Belgrade.
Tickets will be priced at 150 to 350 RSD and they will be on sale from February 1st at the box office of these halls. Ticket price for the grand opening is 500 RSD. The discount of 10% on a set of cards is valid from February 1st till February 7th.
