The film part of the programme is marked by the first collaboration with one of the longest European film festivals, Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival, which turned 60 this year; and the reunion with Magnificent 7, that will screen films from three world-famous documentary directors- Thomas Riedelsheimer from Germany, Mika Rokainen from Finland and Mark Isacs from the UK.
BELEF 2013 marks another successful cooperation with Supernatural festival, which will hold its programme in the Supernatural Park on Ada Huja; and Baskerfest, the festival of street performers, which will open the Belgrade Summer Festival and bring the good atmosphere to the streets of the capital.
Ring Ring and the young music talents of Attic studios will be making sure we have fun with some superb live music this year. The audience will get a chance to laugh with the programme of Stand Up Fest, that will feature renowned local and foreign stand up comics, as well as first timers on its open mike night.
As well as last year, the visitors will experience literature in a unique way with the programme of Krokodil festival, which reminds us summer is close and Love is in the air. BELEF festival is especially proud to keep up with the long tradition of presenting performance arts and this year the audience will be able to enjoy the performances of Festival of Choreographic Miniatures, tango festival Belgrade Tango Encuentro and the young drama enthusiasts from Teatar 5.
The mission of the BELEF festival is to offer a rich programme, consisting of music, theatre, performance arts and films, to the local and tourist audiences during the summer months- all that completely free of charge.
