58th Sterija’s theatre

The most important domestic theater festival, “Sterijino pozorje” (Sterija’s theatre) will held on May 25th till June 3rd in Novi Sad and it will be officialy opened by famous director Emir Kusturica.

In the official selection of this year’s festival will perform nine plays, while in the international program “Circles” audiences will have opportunity to see two plays.

“Sterija Theatre” is the national festival of drama and theater with cometition character that has established in 1956. as part of the celebrations and the 150th anniversary of the birth and the 100th anniversary of the death of Serbian playwright John Sterije Popovic. It is a theater festival with the participation of professional domestic and international theaters with plays based on texts by domestic authors.
