Serbian Agriculture Minister Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic Thursday opened the first meeting of the committee to monitor the implementation of the IPARD II program, which will provide Serbian farmers with EUR 75 million by 2020.

A total of EUR 35 million is available this year, and the first call for tenders will be issued in the second half of 2016.

“One of the preconditions for implementation of the IPARD program is setting up an IPARD monitoring committee to monitor the program’s implementation together with the body in charge,” said Bogosavljevic-Boskovic, who chaired the IPARD II Monitoring Committee meeting.

If we are efficient and successfully implement the IPARD II program, we will have about EUR 400 million invested in Serbia’s rural development in a few years, said Bogosavljevic-Boskovic.
