The European Parliament will at Wednesday’s plenary session debate a resolution on Serbia urging a soonest possible opening of key negotiation chapters 23 and 24 in the country’s EU accession talks.

The resolution welcomes the progress in the normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations in 2015, calling on authorities to ensure a full and timely implementation of agreements reached to date as one of the conditions for Serbia’s EU accession.

MEPs are scheduled to vote on the proposed resolution on Thursday, with Serbian Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic to attend the debate and the vote.
