The Serbian Interior Ministry (MUP) said Monday that a state of emergency had been declared in the municipalities of Cacak, Arilje and Lucani and 15 people had been evacuated from Gornji Milanovac, Priboj and Cacak during the night.
The MUP Emergency Situations Sector (SVS) is monitoring the situation on the ground together with other relevant bodies.
Special rescue and water rescue teams and special civil protection water and underwater units have been put on standby.
During the night, SVS MUP fire rescue units units evacuated a total of 15 people endangered by flooding – seven in Gornji Milanovac, three in Cacak five in Priboj.
