Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric said late on Wednesday that Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa had incorrectly interpreted the outcome of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, especially in relation to the drafting of a statute of the Community of Serb municipalities (ZSO).

The claim that it has been agreed to work on the ZSO statute in line with the decision of the Kosovo Constitutional Court is an utter lie,  Djuric said in a statement to Tanjug.

Djuric also discarded as false Mustafa’s claim that it had not been agreed to start working on the statute immediately.

“It is enough just to look at the release issued by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy to conclude whether Mustafa’s claims are true or false,” he said.

Mustafa on Belgrade-Pristina dialogue

BRUSSELS – After the top-level dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said late on Wednesday that the discussion had focused on the implementation of the deals reached so far, and that the agreement on the Community of Serb municipalities could only be put in place in line with the decision of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo.

Nothing will function in Kosovo unless it is in line with decisions of the Constitutional Court, Mustafa told reporters after a three hour and a half meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and the EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.

As for the expected general elections in Serbia, Mustafa said they would be held in the territory of Kosovo, under Kosovo laws.

We will respect Serbs’ rights to vote, but under Kosovo laws, he said.
