Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, the current world number one in men’s tennis, defeated Kei Nishikori of Japan 6-3, 6-3 in the final of the Miami Masters tournament Sunday to win a record 28th career Masters title.

In addition to taking the lead from Rafael Nadal in career Masters titles won, Djokovic has become the all-time ATP money leader with USD 98,199,548, also claiming the most combined titles on the US tour of Indian Wells and Miami – as many as four.

Djokovic won his sixth career Miami title, defeating the tenacious Nishikori after 85 minutes of play, and now has a 7-2 head-to-head record against the Japanese.
