The dinar rose against the euro by 0.1 percent for the third consecutive day on Friday, making the official medium exchange rate RSD 122.6193, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) said in a statement.

The national currency rose by 0.2 percent against the eurozone currency compared to a month ago, dropping by 1.7 percent compared to a year ago.

The dinar-to-dollar indicative exchange rate also rose by 0.3 percent to RSD 108.3018.

The dinar rose by 1.7 percent against the US currency compared to a month ago and by 2.3 percent compared to a year ago.

The central bank has sold a total of EUR 715 million and purchased EUR 10 million on the interbank foreign exchange market since the beginning of the year to curb daily exchange rate fluctuations.
