Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Monday that he expected more Turkish investments in Serbia.

Davutoglu, who is on a two-day visit to Serbia, said during a meeting he had with Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic that good relations between Serbia and Turkey had a positive effect on the entire region.

He pointed out that today’s visit had resulted in agreeing to set up a council for cooperation between the two governments, whose first meeting could be held as early as in the following few months, which would step up overall cooperation considerably.

Gojkovic and Davutoglu stressed that economic cooperation was very important to the development of overall cooperation, adding that the visit by the Turkish delegation, comprising a large number of businessmen from the country, would prove to be of great help there.
