
“This verdict passed at the moment when ethnic Albanians are setting conditions for the further negotiations, and when elections lie ahead of Serbia is blowing the wind into the sails of extremists on both sides, and not contributing to the process of further stabilization in the Balkans,” the foreign ministry quoted Dacic as saying in a written statement.
“Those who stand behind this judgment certainly do not have peace and stability in their mind,” he said.
Earlier on Thursday, the EULEX panel of judges sentenced Ivanovic to nine years in prison for war crimes committed in Kosovska Mitrovica on April 14, 1999.
