
The show is bringing together over 300 exhibitors from around 20 countries.
Last year saw an increase in new car sales for the first time since 2008, as over 20,000 cars were sold, Sertic said.
This year’s show features more than 40 car and 35 motorcycle debuts, which have recently been presented at the Geneva Motor Show, the minister said.
“In 2015, over 20,000 new cars were sold, which is a good sign for the Serbian auto market and auto industry,“ Sertic said, describing this as a result of the economic reforms put in place by the Serbian government.
This also signals a recovery in the global and Serbian car industry, the minister noted.
