Relations with neighboring Serbia are getting better, and Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) will not recognize Kosovo’s independence in the near future, Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic has said.

“I do not believe that we will recognize Kosovo in the near future” as we are faced with strong resistance from politicians from Republika Srpska and presidency member Mladen Ivanic, said Izetbegovic.

He said certain recent crises had been successfully overcome and relations between BiH and Serbia were now getting better.

BiH and Serbia will be improving regional infrastructure by building airports, power facilities, railroads, ports and highways together and it means opening new jobs for hundreds of thousands of people, Izetbegovic said.

Nearly one hundred other industry sectors will also benefit from the projects, Izetbegovic added.
