On Sunday, the 25th of October, 60th International Belgrade Fair is opened, under the slogan “What would happen if it didn’t happen”. Besides the attractive stands and interesting guests, this year’s fair is marked by the stand which allows visitors to become authors.

Organizers of the greatest book fair in the Southeastern Europe, have given their best to tickle the imagination of visitors and keep their renown which has been following them for the 60th years in row. Among the most attractive stands, the stand of the first Serbian e-books publisher, New Look Entertainment, will find its place here as the only stand that has given the visitors a chance to try themselves as authors.

Namely, the authors will have the opportunity to register themselves at this stand, and in collaboration with the publisher and by previously arranged price, will have their book published. E-books are being sold over the biggest digital stores at the global market, and readers can download them directly on their electronic devices.

To the thrill of many visitors, this year’s book fair has been opened by Emir Kusturica, the eminent director, writer and National Ambassador for the UNICEF in Serbia.

The attention was also drawn to the honorable guest, Russian Federation, which owns one of the biggest stands at the fair.

Besides Russian Federation, exhibitors from the following countries will also represent themselves at this fair: France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iran, Montenegro, Serbian Republic, Japan, Belarus, Croatia, Great Britain, Spain, Germany, Italy, China, Brazil, India and for the first time Romania and Azerbaijan.

Besides the usual stands of the great number of publishing houses, the Young Authors’ Creations Festival is organized for the first time, and authors who are younger than 30 years will represent themselves with pieces of work in Performing, Fine, Film and Music Arts.

Just like in the previous 8 years, the acknowledgement “Dositej Obradović” which is intended to the foreign publisher who promotes Serbian literature and culture, is also delivered. This time, the award was received by the publishing house „Acantilado“ from Barcelona.

Ticket prices remained the same – an individual ticket is 250 RSD, and a group ticket is 150 RSD. The price of a family ticket is 600 RSD.

Monday and Tuesday, 26th and 27th of October 2015. are days for a family visits, during which will be enabled that whole family enter the fair with only one ticket.

Belgrade Book Fair is opened from the 25th of October until November the 1st.
