The event in question is The International Tourism Fair held in Belgrade, Serbia.
The Belgrade Tourism Fair is the largest tourism event not only in Serbia but in Southeast Europe as well, and this year it attracted an amazing number of 71,500 visitors in only 4 days. Mayor of Belgrade Siniša Mali told Tanjug that Belgrade had generated over 15,000 nights spent in tourist accommodation.
Mali also stated that more and more tourists are deciding to visit Belgrade because they are well aware that it is a safe city. He added that, in order to maintain the high standard of the capital’s accommodation offer and to solve the issue of illegal accommodation, a deal has been reached with Booking.com.
These huge numbers and the continuous effort invested in improving “the Belgrade experience” only ensure that the Serbian capital will become an even more attractive tourist destination.
