As a part of the Belgrade Festival of European Literature the photography exhibition “American graffiti” by writer Laslo Blašković will be opened on June 27th in Dom omladine in Belgrade.
Till July 3rd visitors will have the opportunity to see photos taken during the author’s visit to the United States (New York, Washington, Minneapolis, Honolulu) during August and September of 2011.
Taken in different cities, these photos form an authentic personal story about landscapes, details, scenes and clouds of discovered America.
Literal works of Laslo Blašković (1966) have been recognized as some of the most exciting images of contemporary Serbian literature. These images have transformed in still and visible moments in specific time and space displayed on the photos of the exhibition “American graffiti”.
Blašković’s novel “Madonin nakit” (English: Madonna’s jewelry) was declared one of top 10 Serbian novels written after the fall of the Berlin wall that were put into the anthology edition “Sto slovenskih romana” (English: Hundred Slavic novels). The author was awarded some of the most important literal awards in Serbia for his exceptional work.
