By combining the tradition and modernism, surrounded by the Mountain Maljen, there is a cottage which appearance caught the attention of national and foreign media.
Simple, but still unique and interesting. A small cottage in the vicinity of Valjevo was created and designed by the architects Tijana and Andreja Mitrović. Just a glance on this interesting house tells that they have succeeded in their desire to show us how it is possible to combine traditional and modern architecture. As a result, they have got a cottage which perfectly fits into the environment of the Maljen mountain.
The inspiration of course came from the Serbian log cabin. Still, many modern elements were added so the authentic look was reached. And besides that, this mountain building is completely harmonized with the natural vegetation, overgrowth and stone ground on which it is settled.
Although it seems pretty small on the first sight, this cottage can welcome seven people. A kitchen, bathroom and a living room are on the first floor, and on the second floor, there is the most beautiful part of the house- bedroom with an amazing view on the picturesque mountain scenery.
Construction of this unusual house on Maljen is a part of the project of Serbian young architects, and about its success speaks the fact that the news about this cottage and its picture have been conveyed by „Wallpaper“ and “Archaily”, the leading world magazines in the area of architecture.
