The 47th Niš Film Encounters

The Summer stage in Niš will host this year’s 47th Niš Film Encounters from August 25th till August 30th. Visitors will have the opportunity to see 10 films by local directors during 5 days of the Festival.

This year’s Encounters will be opened by the film “Miris kiše na Balkanu” by Ljubiša Samardžić. On the first day visitors can also see the film “Zduhač znači avantura” by the director Milorad Milinković.

During the following 4 evenings of the Festival films “Beli, beli svet“, “Beli lavovi”, “Montevideo, Bog te video”, “Šišanje”, “Neprijatelj”, “Sestre”, “Kako su me ukrali Nemci”, “Zajedno” and “Cinema komunisto” will be screened at 20.30.

The Festival will be closed with the screening of the film “Orkestar” by Pjer Žalica.

Tickets for the 47th Niš Film Encounters can be purchased in the Niš Cultural Center and the Niš Tourist Organization. The price of individual ticket is 400 RSD, while the tickets for all 5 evenings are 2,000 RSD.

Festival started back in 1966 after the initiative of the Organization of film actors of Serbia. Each year the Festival is visited by numerous legendary actors from our country but we can’t fail to mention surely the most famous acting pair Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor.
