The upcoming 29th Belgrade Marathon has already set two records – for the number of participants and the number of countries to be represented, the organisers announced Saturday.

Over 5,000 runners from 58 countries and all continents have already registered, surpassing the figures from the 2015 28th Marathon, which had 4,500 participants from 56 countries – also record figures at the time, the organisers’ statement said.

The maximum number of runners in the marathon and half marathon races this year will be 6,000, and registrations can be submitted via the Belgrade Marathon website by April 5 or at Dom Omladine from April 11 to 15.

This year’s Belgrade Marathon will be held on Saturday, April 16.
