The dinar dropped by 0.1 percent against the euro Thursday, making the official medium exchange rate RSD 122.9245, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) said in a statement.

The national currency rose by 0.5 percent against the eurozone currency compared to a month ago, dropping by 2.2 percent compared to a year ago.

The dinar-to-dollar indicative exchange rate rose by 0.2 percent to RSD 108.4660.

The dinar rose by 4.0 percent against the US currency compared to a month ago and by 2.7 percent compared to a year ago.

The central bank has sold a total of EUR 555 million and purchased EUR 10 million on the interbank foreign exchange market since the beginning of the year to curb major exchange rate fluctuations.
