Istvan Pastor, president of the assembly of the Serbian autonomous province of Vojvodina, called on Tuesday provincial elections for April 24.

Pastor signed the decision to hold the provincial elections on April 24, so they will take place alongside parliamentary and local ones.

The previous provincial elections were held on May 6, 2012.

The provincial assembly has 120 deputies, and their seats are distributed according to the proportional system for the period of four years.

Under the Statute, the president of the assembly calls the elections, 90 days before the end of its term in power, and they are due to be completed in the next 60 days.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic called the parliamentary elections on March 4, and Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic – the local elections on March 7. The elections at all levels are set to be held on April 24.
