Serbia and Hungary are preparing for new agriculture and food industry projects in their joint bid to gain access to major world markets in Russia, China, Asia, Western Europe and elsewhere, the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture said in a release Friday.

According to the release, after signing a protocol from the eighth session of the Serbia-Hungary Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto today, Serbian Agriculture Minister Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic said that the two countries were willing to work hard to improve economic cooperation.

Bogosavljevic-Boskovic observed that Serbia’s exports to Hungary in 2015 had gone up 11 percent against a year earlier.

Bogosavljevic-Boskovic added that Serbia and Hungary had reached a remarkable degree of political agreement, and economic cooperation was now showing a significant positive trend as a result.
