The 44th international film festival FEST was closed Sunday with an official awards ceremony.

“The Diary of a Teenage Girl”, directed by Marielle Heller, claimed the Victor of Belgrade award in the main competitive programme, as did Nikola Ljuca’s “Humidity”, Zrinko Ogresta’s “On the Other Side” and Qaushiq Mukherjee’s “Ludo” in the national selection and the Serbian minority coproduction and Borders programmes, respectively.

The Nebojsa Djukelic Award, the Milutin Colic Politika Award and the FEDEORA Jury Award were also handed out.

Heller also won the Best Director Award, while David Pablos’s “The Chosen Ones” won the Jury Award.

Ramin Bahrani won the Best Screenplay Award for “99 Homes”, Bel Powley (“The Diary of a Teenage Girl”) won the Best Actress Award, Michael Shannon (“99 Homes”) won the Best Actor Award, while the Best Debut Award went to young director Jayro Bustamante (“Volcano”).
