The EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, who facilitated Wednesday’s round of the top-level dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, said she was glad that a significant advancement had been made on the acceptance of diplomas, and freedom of movement agreement.

Mogherini said in a release following the meeting that the talks had been held in a very good atmosphere, and that the officials had discussed the implementation of the agreements reached so far.

“It was confirmed today that the mutual acceptance of educational and professional diplomas and certificates is becoming a reality,” she said.

“We also significantly advanced on the implementation of the agreement on Freedom of Movement, in particular on the provisions on license plates,” she added.

Both sides also agreed to start discussions on direct air and rail connections, Mogherini said.

Mogherini said in a release following the meeting that the talks had been held in a very good atmosphere, and that the officials had discussed the implementation of the agreements reached so far.

“The discussion furthermore focused on the commitment of both sides to work on the implementation of the agreement for the establishment of the Association/Community of Serb majority municipalities, based on already signed agreements,” she said, thanking the Serbian and Kosovo prime ministers for their continued commitment to further normalize the relations.
