The Belgrade-Pristina dialogue will resume on Wednesday with a meeting between Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, Brussels has announced.

The high-level dialogue will be facilitated by Federica Mogherini, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, said a statement on the European External Action Service (EEAS) website.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic’s office confirmed to Tanjug that Vucic will take part in the January 27 dialogue.

Vucic said earlier this month that difficult negotiations are ahead for Serbia but that problems must be solved because it is in the interest of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs and ethnic Albanians.

Mustafa is also confirmed to attend despite his attempts over the past weeks to make going to Brussels conditional on certain concessions.

Mogherini’s office announced that “the two sides will take stock of the implementation of the existing agreements and discuss the way forward in the dialogue.”
