
Therefore, the forecast for Serbia’s economic growth was raised by 1.3 percentage points to 0.8 percent in 2015, by 0.3 percentage points to 1.8 percent in 2016, and by 0.2 percentage points to 2.2 percent in 2017, relative to the WB’s projections in June last year, shows the report.
In 2018, the WB expects Serbia’s economy to grow at a pace of 3.5 percent.
The WB also notes that global growth disappointed again in 2015, slowing to 2.4 percent, and is expected to recover at a slower pace than previously envisioned. Growth is projected to reach 2.9 percent in 2016, as a modest recovery in advanced economies continues and activity stabilizes among major commodity exporters.
