The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) will undergo more changes towards mirroring the export-oriented model of the Austrian chamber system, PKS President Marko Cadez says after one year at the helm of the organisation.

Like the Austrian chamber of commerce, the PKS must play a decisive role in backing exports, Cadez told Tanjug.

“Austria was an import-oriented economy 15 years ago but, thanks to a reorganised chamber system, trade representation abroad and support to companies, as much as EUR 7 out of every EUR 10 it now earns is earned abroad. One euro invested by the chamber in its trade representatives returns EUR 55 to companies”, Cadez said.

That is an adequate way to improve the economic diplomacy, Cadez said.
