Vucic: Austria is Serbia's great friend

Austria is a great friend of Serbia’s in Brussels and elsewhere in the world, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said Thursday.

After meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz, Vucic said that there were curently about 400 Austrian companies present and they had invested around EUR 3 billion in Serbia, adding that our country would like to see more Austrian companies coming, as that would bring about growth.

Vucic thanked Austria for showing interest in maintiaining regional stability, so vital to Serbia’s development.
We made the turn from recession into a positive growth trend, but that which could make everything go down like a house of cards and does not depend on us is regional destabilization, he said.

That is why I am especially grateful to Austria for making huge effort to help preserve peace and stability in the region, said Vucic.
