Serbia’s dinar continued to depreciate against the euro for the third day in a row, dropping 0.1 percent and setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 121.0549 for one euro on Thursday, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) said in a release.

Placed against the euro, the national currency is worth 0.8 percent less than a month ago and 0.4 percent against a year earlier.

The indicative dinar-versus-dollar exchange rate is down 0.9 percent, at RSD 114.3970 for one U.S. dollar. The dinar weakened 4.9 percent month-on-month and 14.7 percent y-o-y against the dollar.
This year, the dinar was lowest against the euro on January 29, at RSD 123.57, and the highest on October 1, at RSD 119.7162.

The NBS has sold EUR 140 million and bought EUR 940 million on the IFEM since the beginning of the year to prevent excessive daily volatility of the dinar.
