Udovicic expects that new Law on sports would find its place in the parliament and be adopted until the end of the year.
„State is here to be a base and support for medals winning“, the Minister said to RTS.
„The tendency for us is to be better year after year. It is also a tendency for this Fair to be better“, Udovicic said anent the upcoming International Sports Fair from 27th until 29th of November.
According to him, International Sports Fair has been moved from Hall 1 to Hall 3 which is larger, and the intention is to „motivate the young, children and parents to go in for recreation, and then for sports and professional sports“.
The larger hall was selected, as he said, in order to exhibit more sport props.
„Sport airplane will be exhibited for the first time in there. Children will have the opportunity to meet with sports that are under-represented in public“, Udovicic added.
The intention is to actuate the young to go in for sports like these, Minister said.
„When you get the opportunity to hit the golf ball or sit in the professional canoe, I think that that’s something that triggers the love for life for children“, he said.
Last year’s International Sports fair showed that, Udovicic said and added that this year, besides demonstrative sports, there will be more lecturers with intention to educate not only the residents of Serbia, but sportsmen as well.
Anent to the upcoming European Water Polo Championship, he said that it would be a chance to be reminded of some good results and not only in the near past.
In the coming period, main goals are, as he says, Olympic Games next year, and before that, even two European Championships.
