The 21st Auteur Film Festival will kick off at Belgrade’s Dom Omladine on Friday with Lorenzo Vigas’ impressive debut “From Afar”, this year’s winner at the Venice Film Festival.

By December 5, the festival will showcase 84 films in eight program sections and 10 cinema halls.

The main program will screen 22 films, 12 of which will be competing for Aleksandar Sasa Pavlovic Grand Prix.

The best film will be announced by a jury comprising Croatian director and screenwriter Ognjen Svilicic, Serbian director Pavle Vuckovic and Toronto International Film Festival programmer Rasha Salti.
