From January until October this year, Serbia was visited by 2.114.772 tourists, which is for 12 per cent more compared to the same period last year.

As it was announced from National Tourism Organization of Serbia, the number of domestic tourists was 1.135.837(12 per cent more) and they make 54 per cent of total number of visitors.

The number of foreign tourists was 978.935 (11 per cent more), or 46 per cent  of total number of visitors.

In te period of January until October this year, the total of 5.852.001 overnights was made (which is 10 per cent more compared to the last year), from which there were 3.763.905 domestic tourists (8 per cent more compared to 2014).

That makes 64 per cent of the total number of nights, and foreign 2.088.096 (13 per cent more), or 36 per cent of the total number of accomplished overnights.

Domestic tourists mostly visited spas and mountains, and foreign tourists Belgrade, and then the following places..

From chosen places, measured by accomplished overnights, domestic tourists had mostly visited Vrnjačka Banja, Zlatibor, Kopaonik, Belgrade…

Foreign tourists had mostly visited Belgrade in the period of January-October 2015 (1.061.434 overnights), followed by Novi Sad, Zlatibor, Vrnjačka Banja..

The highest number of overnights was accomplished by tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina(166.534, 19 per cent more compared to the period of January-October 2014), followed by tourists from Montenegro, Russia, Germany…

As it was announced from TOS, data about tourist traffic and capacity have been collected by monthly research about arrivals and overnights of tourists in accommodations.
