There’s a real treat in store for all those tennis junkies who happen to find themselves in Serbia this March. We’re talking of course about the first-round tie of the 2016 Davis Cup World Group. Serbia will face Kazakhstan in at the Pionir sports hall in Belgrade from March 4-6. All those who secure themselves a seat for this “tennis festival” will have the opportunity to watch Serbian tennis players Novak Đoković, Viktor Troicki, Filip Krajinović and Nenad Zimonjić “fight” their opponents.
On Friday two singles will be played at 2 pm, and a doubles match will be following it the next day at 3 pm. On the final day of this sports manifestation you can look forward to two separate matches starting at 1 pm. An interesting fact is that the last time a Davis Cup match was played at this very same hall was from 5-7 February 1989 when Serbia beat Denmark 4-1.

And of course, a monthly review of manifestations and events wouldn’t be complete without a little something for hedonists. Then again what we’re about to invite you to couldn’t exactly be described as little. The manifestation in question is the 11th VINOFEST – an international festival of wine, winemaking and viticulture. The festival is held in Vršac, in the grand hall of hotel “Srbija”, on the 18th and 19th of March. Certainly an occasion no wine lover should miss.
VINOFEST is a fair which brings all winemakers and vintners from the region as well as from abroad to one place. Apart from tasting high-quality wine, you can also learn about all sorts of equipment for the production of wine.
