Kopaonik, something for everyone
The largest and best known ski resort in Serbia has ski trails that are in top condition and are ready for both the beginner and expert skiers. About 62 kilometers of ski trails suitable for both Nordic and alpine skiing are surrounded by thick beech and oak forests and beautiful scenery. All of these trails are well connected by chairlifts and cable cars, that can transport up to 32 000 passengers per hour.
A “ski kindergarten” is available to the beginners and the youngest skiers and it is equipped with a ski-simulator machine and a carousel. For the fans of night skiing there is a “Malo Jezero” ski trail, which has electric lights along the piste. The system for artificial snow-making covers 97% of ski trails. There are also other winter sports available to the guests, after which they can enjoy the traditional cuisine in of the the many restaurants at Kopaonik.
Stara planina – discover the beauty of the largest mountain in Eastern Serbia
Stara planina is covered in snow during five months of the year will leave you amazed with its interminable sights, fresh air and unforgettable skiing experience. One of this mountain’s most beautiful landscapes with unusually shaped rocks is located 1.758 meters above the sea level – the ski resort “Babin zub”. It is comprised of three ski trails “Konjarnik”, “Sunčana dolina” and “Markova livada”, which are well connected by cable cars.
Midžor, the highest mountain top in the country, is located southwest of “Babin zub”, and the first gondola lift in Serbia is also located on this mountain. More than 13 kilometers of well-groomed ski trails with varying difficulty are ready for both beginner and expert skiers. A freestyle trail is available for those who like extreme sports and a system for artificial snow-making has been built.
Zlatibor, skiing and partying on an urban mountain
If you don’t belong to the group of “hardcore skiers” and would like to spend some of your time in one of the bars and restaurants this mountain has to offer, Zlatibor is the perfect place for you. This mountain whose pines get a golden glow when the sun shines on them has many touristic attractions to offer during the whole year. Ski resort “Tornik” is located nine kilometers from the center of Zlatibor and its ski trails have a capacity of 5400 skiers per hour.
Ski trails “Čigota”, “Tornik”, “Ribnice” and “Zmajevac” offer an amazing view of the natural riches that surround one of the most popular tourist attractions in Serbia. Tornik has a special Installation called “tubing” and there is a playground for children. This mountain is also famous for Serbian culinary specialties such as pršut (kind of smoked ham), bacon, kajmak, komplet lepinja and many more.
Tara, the unforgettable night skiing
Mountain beauty located in the Western part of Serbia is one of the most visited ski resorts in our country. Thanks to the magical nature, fresh air and suited up ski trails, Tara makes the ideal place to enjoy the sport activities, vacation and the detour of the vivid nature. The highest peak of this mountain is Koziji rid with 1591 m, and the most quality ski courts have been settled in the region of Predov krst.
The special attraction of this mountain and National Park represents the night skiing. For the numerous visitors it is the unique adrenaline pleasure to ski down the enlightened ski trail while the stars are shining above Tara. Whether you are the lover of day or night skiing- good time, unrepeatable experience and positive impressions from this mountain center are guaranteed.
Goč, recreational skiing and relaxation
This mountain with mild climate, rich natural and cultural heritage and well-groomed ski trails is a perfect place for recreation and relaxation. Ski resort “Dobre vode” has two ski trails for beginners and children; there is a cable car nearby as well as another ski trail whose upper part is intended for beginners and the lower, steeper one for recreational skiers.
There are five trails for cross-country skiing on Goč of different length and steepness, also there is a smaller 30 meters high ski springboard, perfect for ski jumping training. This mountain is primarily visited by families with children, recreational skiers and people who want to spend some peaceful time in nature. Various game courts, numerous cultural and historical monuments and close vicinity of Vrnjačka Spa, are the things that attract tourists during the whole year.
