A morning walk around the park which was a place for enjoying of the former citizens of Arandjelovac in 1856, represents a perfect way to start your day. A place in the heart of Šumadija is known after the benefits of the mineral water, in whose healing properties once had enjoyed Prince Miloš Obrenović, and now numerous tourists enjoy in it. According to the wish of the Serbian Prince, the city was named Aranđelovac.
But that’s not it. The reason why the park became world-wide known is that it represents the biggest open-air showroom of marble sculptures in Serbia which are under UNESCO’s line of the most important world attractions in the area of fine arts. Along with the rest of the historical monuments that surround it, this park represents a real city oasis, a house of culture and a tradition.
A noon adventure in the Prehistoric cave

A visit to the cradle of modern Serbian statehood
An afternoon visit to Orašac, a small village near Aranđelovac, will make your day exciting and completed. In February of 1804, on the Candlemas, the prominent Serbs led by the well-known Đorđe Petrović Karađorđe had a meeting right at this place. We are sure that the experts for history know what we are talking about.
Exactly! This is the place where the First Serbian Uprising against the century of Turkish reign had started, and it represents one of the most important dates for Serbian people, history and the state of the 19th century. Today, a monument,a park, a school, a museum and a church stand at the place of the assembly and Marićevića jaruga, a place where monument fountain is settled, is in the immediate vicinity. The three marble panels with the engraved text related to marking the 150 years of the First Serbian Uprising, represent the central part of this fountain.
