For over a decade, Novi Sad is a home of EXIT<\/a>, one of the best music festivals in Europe that brings together the best musicians from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Novi Sad is the city of young people, music, fun and great nightlife<\/a>. It is the home of EXIT festival, one of the best music events in Europe, that has had its first edition took place in 2000. Some of the best musicians from all over the world perform on the stages of EXIT festival every year. Still, Novi Sad has a lot more to offer. It is and open and tolerant city of friendly people and endless cultural diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many legends about the foundation of this city. Since prehistoric times, many nations have lived in this area. The Petrovaradin fortress<\/a>, that is the symbol of the city, dates from the Middle Ages, but it were the Austro-Hungarians that gave it the look it has today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the legends says it were the merchants and craftsmen that have established the settlement around the Petrovaradin fortress in which they had worked but were forbidden to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fru\u0161ka Gora<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The lonely island mountain erected in the middle of great Pannonian Basin, scientists call \u201cthe mirror of geographical past\u201d. Serbs can call it the mirror of cultural and spiritual past which hold century\u2019s old forests of the oldest Serbian National park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ninety million years ago, Fru\u0161ka gora mountain was an island in Pannonian sea<\/strong>. When the sea went dry, the island remained without its aquatic neighbor, but in exchange nature bestowed upon it the role of the only mountain in the flat Vojvodina, raised in the shape of a narrow reef, approximately 46 miles long, from which extend single lateral reefs flourishing with oak, hornbeam, beech and basswood forests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the endless greenery of these deciduous forests, on the glades of reigning mountain of the Pannonian Basin, 16 monasteries<\/a> which are lasting for centuries and were built around 16th and 18th century<\/strong> in styles of Baroque and Morava<\/a> architectural school of medieval Serbia. Due to its riches considering places of worship, Fru\u0161ka gora is also called Holy Mountain or Serbian Atos.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Fru\u0161ka Gora mountain you will see some stunishing viewpoints, you will experience greenery of Fru\u0161ka Gora from inside, beautiful lakes which are filled with multiple streams.
