SUMMARY:Nušićijada 2013
DESCRIPTION:Collage festival or Cultural festival “Nušićijada” is being organized from August 3oth till September 1st in the town of Ivanjica. The Festival features theatre plays\, concerts of classic\, traditional\, electro\, rock\, blues and ethno music\, different performances\, exhibitions\, interactive workshops.\nThe rich and exciting program of “Nušićijada” during all three days of the Festival starts at noon and lasts till late at night. This year’s \n“Nušićijada” was founded in 1969 as a Yugoslav Comedy Film Festival in Ivanjica. Manifestation inspired by life and work of Branislav Nušić – Nušićijada\, is a spiritual response of later generations to the image of Serbian village and its mentality recorded by this legend of Serbian culture from the early 20th century\, today a classic of national literature\, in his prose and dramatic works. \n\n

SUMMARY:Ljubičevo Horse Games 2013
DESCRIPTION:The 50th Ljubičevo Horse Games will be held from August 30th till September 1st at the hippodrome in Požarevac where modern knights and horsemen are going to engage into a “duel” at racetrack.\nThe program starts with the ceremonial parade of participants in the “Games on the streets of Požarevac”. Competitors will compete in several disciplines: Ljubičevo all-round competition\, throwing spiked club\, archery competition\, courier riding\, spear and sward competition. \nThe winner of the competition\, with the highest number of points\, wins the title “Knight of Ljubičevo”\, red knight’s cape and a sword on which a Chivalry motto is engraved: “Do not pull me without a cause – do not put me back without honor!” \nBesides galloping\, jumping and horse training\, visitors can also see the traditional attraction – children presenting the beginners’ exercises in horse riding for kids from the age of two to seven. Besides these events\, animal lovers can enjoy the horse and small animal exhibition. \nFlat race – “Ljubičevo Cup” is the central race and event of the manifestation\, in which best horses are competing as a test of speed\, stamina\, and jockey’s skills. \nSince 1964 Ljubičevo Horse Games have been organized each year on the first weekend in September. The Games originate from the long tradition of Ljubičevo stables – one of the oldest stables in Serbia. It is believed that Princess Ljubica wanted to build a residence far from city pollution for her oldest son Milan who was often ill. Prince Miloš gave order to plant an alley of oaks following the road from the estate to Požarevac. A residence and several stables were also built. And Ljubičevo stables were founded there\, on that estate that the Prince later gave away to the state. The name Ljubicevo was given by Prince Mihailo\, in memory of his mother\, Princess Ljubica.

DESCRIPTION:The 5th International Festival of Ecology and Tourist Film Silver lake Tourfilm Festival – SILAFEST 2013 takes place on the Danube bank\, in the town of Veliko Gradište\, from September 1st till September 7th.\nThe Festival features the competitive part of the program which is expected to have about sixty films in the official selection\, and numerous side-program manifestations on ecology and tourism. \nThe film directors from the country and abroad\, producers\, journalists\, directors of sister festivals from all around the world\, tourist workers\, and all festivalgoers\, will all have the opportunity to enjoy “Pasuljijada” – a competition in cooking “gradištanac” beans\, a competition in cooking fish broth\, fishhook and float fishing competition\, slapstick fishing with the Danube fishermen… \nAlso there are boat outings organized on the Danube\, but also a round table on ecology and regional tourist development\, as well as an educational seminar “Contemporary World Trends in Tourist Film Production”\, designed for tourist workers from Serbia. \nSILAFEST was founded in 2008\, and it is organized by the Tourist organization of Veliko Gradište. \nFor more information visit  www.silafest.com

SUMMARY:Fish Fest
DESCRIPTION:The gastronomic and cultural manifestation “Fish Fest” will take place from August 5th to September 8th on the plateau near the Nebojša Tower in Belgrade.\nThis festival was created in order to remind visitors of the importance of the Sava and the Danube. The central event will be the competition in preparing fish soup. Top chefs from the region will be prepared fish soup and dishes of Mediterranean and Bosnian cuisine. They will present their skills\, as well as local restaurants and famous wineries from around Serbia. \nVisitors will also be able to try their luck in fishing competition\, while numerous writers\, actors\, singers and all lovers of river and fish specialties will participate in the side program. \nMusic program will be organized every evening. Local bands Gama\, Crvena jabuka will perform on Thursday\, September 5th\, on Friday – Apsolutno romantično and Plutonia. Garavi sokak\, Rok bulevar and Nevreme will perform on Saturday\, September 7th while the bands Milagro bend\, Marich Brothers bend and Texas Flood will close the festival at Sunday. \nDuring the four days of the festival\, there will also be provided free boat trip with Yacht Club Key boat\, with departures at 4pm\, 6pm and 8pm. \n

SUMMARY:Davis Cup Semifinal 2013
DESCRIPTION:Semi-final matches between tennis selections of Serbia and Canada will be played from 13th September till 15th September in Belgrade Arena.\nOn the first day of the competition will be played two singles matches. The first singles match starts at 4 pm\, the second immediately after the first. On the second day\, the doubles matches will played starting at 4 pm\, while the third day planned two more singles. SUMMARY:Župa Harvest in Aleksandrovac 2013
DESCRIPTION:In honor of grape\, in honor of wine\, in honor of sun\, in honor of diligent people of Župa\, divine ambrosia will be poured down the “Wine Fountain” at the 50th Župa Harvest in Aleksandrovac\, that is taking place this year from the 19th till the 22rd of September.\nThe biggest manifestation of wine makers of Župa in Aleksandrovac will gather this year numerous winemakers\, as well as all admirers of this heavenly nectar\, the Župa wines that will be poured during the entire harvest. \nBesides welcoming feasts with local specialties and a glass of Župa wine in “Vinska Street” (Wine Street)\, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the carnival\, to see the parade of participants in the Župa Harvest\, to see numerous concerts and exhibitions\, like the traditional agricultural exhibition where local exhibitors will present the immense riches of this ancient winegrowing region. \nTraditionally\, the manifestation Župa Harvest has been taking place in Aleksandrovac since 1963\, while the history of winemaking in this region reaches far in the past and visitors of the manifestation can see the exhibit at Museum of wine and winemaking that illustrates the history of viticulture in this region. \nRaise the glasses\, and cheers! \n

SUMMARY:GrapeBall in Vršac 2013
DESCRIPTION:The Grape Harvest Days\, an old manifestation in the city of Vršac is traditionally held on the third weekend of September. This year it takes place on the  20\, 21st and 22nd of September. This is the 56th edition of the event in the city that celebrates its fertile vineyards.\nThe day before\, on the 19th of September\, on the lookout near the Church of Saint Cross\, “Grožđebal” (Grape ball) will be greeted starting from 17h with free wine\, sausages and „tamburitza“ orchestras. \nThe main program starts on 20th September from 17h when some cultural programs will be organized in the city center. Visitors will enjoy fireworks\, grapes and wine exhibition\, the concert of music stars and a Miss Grape Harvest 2013 contest. \nOver the weekend\, there will also be a rich program for children. The young ones will enjoy a masked ball on Saturday at noon\, and in the afternoon the “Knights of wine” will take the stage . After that\, the visitors will enjoy the concert. \nOn Sunday\, 22nd September\, at noon\, the attractive carnival parade will pass through the city\, after which parachutes with grapes shall be dropped from an airplane flying above the city. \nThe festival program on Gradski trg (Town Square)\, starts at 17h and ends with a concert. \nThe first wine exhibition in Vršac was held in 1857 in the “The two keys“ restaurant\, and the first written document about wine is from 1494. year (when Hungarian King Vladislav II paid 10.5 ducats for a barrel of wine from Vršac). \nSince then the wine from this region is widely known\, and the Vršac wine route passes through it nowadays.

SUMMARY:Sremski Karlovci Grape Harvest\, Groždjebal 2013
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Grožđebal (GrapeBall) in Sremski Karlovci is being held from 20th till 22th of September. Visitors will have the opportunity to buy all sorts of grapes\, wines and authentic souvenirs\, as well as enjoy the rich cultural and entertaining program.\nThe “Karlovac vintage 2013″ will be opened by the „Tamburitza players of Vojvodina“ (a string orchestra) at 8PM. At the same night\, after the first festival of new city song “Karlovačka jesen”\,  Andjelka Govedarović\, Milan Prunić and Tamburitza band “Zorule” will perform. \nSaturday brings joy to the youngest because the children’s plays that will be on dispay on the city square. At 4PM the “Wine Fest” starts\, and in the evening is resereved for the stars of the “First Voice of Serbia” Nevena Božović and Mirna Radulović. \nSunday is dedicated to the youngest. They will be entertained by interesting and funny plays on the city squre. \nThe final day of the event also begins with theater performances for children\, and the kids’ music festival “Licidersko srce” (Licider heart) is being held at 6PM. \nGrapeBall 2013 will be closed by the concert of Jelena Tomašević starting at 8PM. \n“Karlovac vintage” is an event that followed the tradition of a folk ceremony that celebrated the beginning of the grape harvest. This event was restored in 1992 after a 20-year break\, and is being held on the last weekend of September or the first weekend of Оctober ever since. \n

DESCRIPTION:Just like every year on the 21 of September on the holiday of Nativity the famous Šabac fair is held\, even though it officially lasts one day it always goes on for at least a few more.\nFor the duration of the fair\, Šaabac is covered with tents in which you can buy many different products. There are also tents where you can party until morning with all kinds of music or you can go on one of the carousel attractions. \nMerchants from all around the country and around come to offer the visitors clothes\, handmade objects toys\, barrels\, landmarks of the past \, liceder hearts\, candy\, “Orašnice” (a kind of walnut cake) and many other things. \nThe people of Šabac say that if you come to the fair and don’t buy anything you will have bad luck for a year.

DESCRIPTION:The 11th International Comics Salon is being held from September 26th till September 29th in Belgrade on several locations with numerous guests from Serbia and abroad.\nLike every year\, this year’s salon combines competitive and rich festival program\, with comics and illustration workshops\, comic exchange\, lectures by prominent cartoonists\, meetings with special guests\, presentation of publishers\, as well as numerous exhibitions of winning authors. \nCeremonial opening of the exhibition of awarded works is scheduled for Thursday\, September 26th\, at 7 pm\, followed by a gala awards ceremony.
