SUMMARY:Mowing on Mt. Rajac 2013
DESCRIPTION:Tourist manifestation “Mowing on Mt. Rajac” with traditional cultural and artistic program\, traditional country party and the exhibition of agricultural machines\, will gather guests from different parts of the country and from abroad from July 12th till July 14th. The manifestation “Mowing on Mt. Rajac” was created in order to treasure the Serbian tradition of the mowing meadows on Mt. Rajac.\nThis manifestation symbolizes the end of hard and tiresome work on mowing mountain meadows and it is being held every year\, on the first Sunday after St. Peter’s Day. \nAfter the opening ceremony\, scythesmen\, accompanied by brass band\, water bearers and singers\, will head for the slopes of Mt. Rajac where they will be competing for the “Golden scythe”\, and this year “master of scythe” will officially be announced for the first time. After the winner is voted follows the scythesmen lunch on the meadow. \nLarge number of competitors from Serbia\, Bosnia and Herzegovina\, Montenegro\, Macedonia\, Croatia and Slovenia will enter the competition. \nMt. Rajac is one of the most beautiful mountains of the Valjevo mountain range that has always lured visitors. This mountain\, that the travelers named “Paradise on Earth” for its exceptional beauty\, is located in the Northwestern Serbia. There is also a modern tourist center with numerous accommodation and support facilities that will meet all visitors’ needs on Mt. Rajac.

SUMMARY:Belgrade Boat Carnival
DESCRIPTION:The 10th Belgrade Boat Carnival is taking place on July 6th\, on the Sava Passenger’s Dock/ Karađorđeva Street bb\, from the Branko’s Bridge to the Confluence and on the Plateau in front of the International Passengers’’ Terminal Belgrade Marine.\nThe inviting slogan is “Everybody to the Danube\, everybody to the Sava” and the slogan of the related eco campaign this year is “Clean and clear”. \nVisitors of this unique manifestation will have opportunity to see a parade of decorated vessels that will sail from different Belgrade marinas\, acrobatics on water and lots of fun on the beach. Within the music program on the stage by the Branko’s Bridge music group „Babe“\, „Đura i mornari“\, Carnival Heat Duo and Jonas Knoph from Germany will perform for visitors. \nTraditionally\, competition for the Queen of the Carnival will be held on 4th of July at the Naxi Beach in front of the Usce Shopping Center\, followed by the show of entertainers\, music concerts and cocktail. \nFree cruises on boat “Kornjača” (Turtle)\, will be organized for all visitors from 5 to 8 pm. SUMMARY:Days of Drina Regatta
DESCRIPTION:Days of Drina Regatta is a manifestation organized from July 6th to July 13th in Ljubovija. The event will be opened with the “Malinijada” (raspberry Festival) at Lukića brdo (Lukića hill) followed by the rich cultural and entertainment\, while the downhill Drina\, the main event of the event\, will be held on July the 13th.\nThe regatta includes numerous sport events – football and tennis tournaments\, plays for both children and grownups\, as well as numerous exhibitions. \nFamous singer Haris Džinović will perform with orchestra on Friday\, July 12th\, just before the race. There will also be fireworks and the audience will have opportunity to enjoy the Djordje David concert\, also. \nRegatta starts on Sunday\, July the 13th and it will be 40 kilometers long race from Rogačica to Ljubovija. \nThe Drina regatta includes unforgettable fun on the most beautiful part of the Drina River accompanied by brass orchestras that will be entertaining the participants. \nParticipants and visitors will enjoy the concert of very popular band “Crvena jabuka”. SUMMARY:The Marry Race
DESCRIPTION:The Marry Race – sport\, eco\, tourist and popular manifestation\, will be organized on June 30th on the Ibar River. The Race is organized by the kayak club “Ibar”. \nTraditionally this Race has been organized since 1990 every last week in June\, and the number of participants has been increasing lately reaching the number of 10\,000 local and foreign participants. \nThe gathering of the participants will start several days before the race beneath the medieval city of Maglič\, 25 kilometers from the city of Kraljevo. \nCampers will come from around the country and the region to spend several days surrounded by the beauties of untouched nature. Maglič will play host to numerous parties and Kraljevo will host concerts and different sport and recreational events. \nBut everyone will be waiting for Sunday – the day that will be remembered by every participant in the Marry Race. The trumpet orchestra is also an essential part of the competition \nRafting on the Ibar River from the medieval city of Maglič will be interrupted only for a traditional bean lunch in Mataruška Spa. Many boats and rafts will finish the race here\, only the most persistent ones will continue the race to Kraljevo. \nOn that occasion all kinds of vessels\, mostly rafts made of different materials – plastic bottles\, metal barrels\, styrofoam\, but also the more serious rafts made of wood and metal\, can be seen on the Ibar River.

DESCRIPTION:Belgrade Summer Festival is taking place from June 21st to July 15th under the under the slogan “Breathe! Do not breathe “. This year BELEF will gather together some of the biggest local festivals\, but it will also team up with some new partners. The main festival venue will be located in the courtyard of the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium\, close to the city centre.\nThe film part of the programme is marked by the first collaboration with one of the longest European film festivals\, Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival\, which turned 60 this year; and the reunion with Magnificent 7\, that will screen films from three world-famous documentary directors- Thomas Riedelsheimer from Germany\, Mika Rokainen from Finland and Mark Isacs from the UK. \nBELEF 2013 marks another successful cooperation with Supernatural festival\, which will hold its programme in the Supernatural Park on Ada Huja; and Baskerfest\, the festival of street performers\, which will open the Belgrade Summer Festival and bring the good atmosphere to the streets of the capital. \nRing Ring and the young music talents of Attic studios will be making sure we have fun with some superb live music this year. The audience will get a chance to laugh with the programme of Stand Up Fest\, that will feature renowned local and foreign stand up comics\, as well as first timers on its open mike night. \nAs well as last year\, the visitors will experience literature in a unique way with the programme of Krokodil festival\, which reminds us summer is close and Love is in the air. DESCRIPTION:“Kustendorf” 2013 \nInternational Film and Music Festival Kustendorf will take place from 16th to 22ndJanuary 2013 in Drvengrad in Mokra Gora\, Serbia. As in previous years\, the Festival is dedicated to future filmmakers and already acclaimed authors. The special guest of the sixth Kustendorf International Film and Music Festival will be the renowned Italian actress Monica Bellucci. \nKustendorf 2013 will welcome all participating film authors and actors\, as well as numerous young film students\, authors\, and many distinguished guests from the international film world. \nMore than 400 films of young authors and students from all over the world applied for the participation in COMPETITION PROGRAMME of the Kustendorf. \nEmir Kusturica announced that the final selection includes 28 films from 18 countries: Cuba\, Denmark\, France\, Germany\, Israel\, Korea\, Mexico\, Montenegro\, The Netherlands\, Philippines\, Peru\, Poland\, Portugal\, Singapore\, Serbia\, Switzerland\, UK and USA. The variety of themes and genres\, actuality as well as outstanding quality of the selected films promise that the competition for the Golden\, Silver and Bronze Egg Awards will be exciting and unpredictable. \nInternational jury\, that consists of Israeli author and actress Alona Kimhi (President of the Jury)\, American film producer\, production manager and assistant director Michael Hausman and Serbian media theorist\, film and TV director prof. SUMMARY:Smoked Ham Festival "Pršutijada 2013"
DESCRIPTION:The traditional Smoked Ham Fair starts on Friday the January the 11th in Zlatibor mountain in village Mačkat and lasts until Sunday January the 13th. \nAt the Smoked Ham Fair there is the competition of the beef and pork smoked ham\, sausages and bacon producers\, together with the interesting cultural and entertaining programme. \nVisitors will have opportunity to taste and buy the famous specialties of Zlatibor. SUMMARY:Street of an Open Heart
DESCRIPTION:The first day of January is an important day for Belgrade citizens who traditionally celebrate it with friends and neighbors in Svetogorska Street\, on this day known as the Street of an Open Heart. \nAs previous years\, the Manifestation has an important charity aspect. This year donations will go to Belgrade maternity hospitals\, therefore the “Street of an Open Heart beats for babies!” \nThe main program takes place in front of the theatre Atelje 212 where numerous actors\, artists\, musicians and entertainers will perform for visitors. \nTourist Organization of Belgrade will offer post cards with photos of Belgrade\, taken by artist Ivan Stanić\, and all the money gathered from sales will go to charity. \nA special sightseeing program will be organized when an open bus will be available for visitors\, from 12h to 16h\, free of charge\, and will go from Slavija Square to the Republic Square. \nOpen Heart Street has been organized since 1988/89. And is one of the most important events in Belgrade.

DESCRIPTION:Five years after his first visit to Serbia\, Sven Väth is returning to Belgrade within his tour “The Year Of The Dragon”\, on November 24th. The location reserved for this concert is DEPO in Travnička Street\, number 3. \nSven Väth’s career started in early eighties in the legendary clubs Dorian Gray and Vogue in Frankfurt\, and he was the party master of that era. \nSimultaneously Sven opened his own club\, Omen that initiated writing a new chapter in the history of German club scene. \nHe was considered to be “the godfather of techno music”\, “the only German pop star”\, “the most successful DJ in the world”\, and he has put under his belt numerous albums and world tours. \n\nThe ticket price for this concert is 990 RSD.
