SUMMARY:Summer3p festival 2013
DESCRIPTION:This year’s 11th Summer3p festival will be held from 18th to 21st July at the Thermal Pools and Men’s Lido in Palić. There will be excellent dance music of different provenance\, as well as socially responsible campaigns and projects which are an inseparable part of this festival.\nOut of the twenty names of performers that can be found on the list of this year’s Summer3p festival\, aside from local support\, there are famous DJs from Germany\, Greece and Hungary. \nJames Cole – DJ\, editor in chief\, club owner\, graphic designer – arrives from Hungary to the Summer3p festival on Thursday\, 18th July. The first day of the festival starts with the only lady in this year’s line-up – the charismatic Tijana Kabić. Local support on the same night by Needle and Faktor X. \nOn the second day of the festival\, Friday 19th July\, Kid Panel (Hungary) arrives. He has performed at a series of events entitled “Feel the Funk Baby“ in various underground clubs in Hungary\, Spain and Italy. He was support to DJs like Krafty Kuts\, Koma & Bones and Sam Hell\, Aquasky\, A.skillz\, as well as Basement Freaks. A name like Pale Penguin\, who will also perform on the second day of the festival\, promises an excellent set. Ronin8 and Geroxy will be local support on the second day of Summer3p. \nAlex Niggemann\, a talented DJ\, producer and owner of Soulfooled from Berlin who makes a great parties\, will perform on the Moon Stage\, on Saturday 20th July. On the same night Minimalistic\, Mark Myself and Chrono & Ascaloon will also perform. \nOn the last day of the festival\, Sunday 21st July\, a big closing party will be held. SUMMARY:The Drina Regatta in Bajina Bašta
DESCRIPTION:The Drina Regatta in Bajina Bašta is being organized from July 16th till July 20st. The Drina Regatta is the most visited tourist and recreation manifestation and the central event in the Western Serbia. This year’s 20th regatta will offer a rich side program like in previous years.\nBeside sports and recreational programs\, the organizers have announced the concerts of famous bands – Toni Cetinski\, Plavi orkestar\, Kiki i Piloti\, Bijesovi\, Hladno pivo\, Hypnotized. \nThe competition of young and pioneer brass bands from the Western Serbia and the Moravica District and the Raška district is taking place on the last day of the manifestation. This is the qualifications for the entering to the 53rd Brass Festival in Čuča. \nThe competition in preparing fish soup starts at Thursday\, July 18th\, and the program continues with the Games without borders on Perućac Lake and the competition in swimming across the lake. \nThe Competition Regatta starts at Friday\, July 19th at 4 pm. After the jumping from the bridge\, follows the traditional MOST FEST – at the confluence of the Rača into the Drina\, with the performances of the bend Plavi orkestar\, Toni Cetinski and Bijesovi. \nThe main regatta starts at July the 20th at 11 am on Perućac lake with the goal at Rogačica. DESCRIPTION:This year’s ambient theater festival “Tvrđava teatar” (Fortress Theatre) is being held from July 14th till July 20th under the slogan “Miracle is possible”.\nPlays created in a variety of modern\, authentic directorial approaches and manuscripts\, and based on texts of all genres of drama in the time span of half a millennium\, will be performed at the Smederevo Fortress under the clear night sky. \nThe play “Pierre lunatic” performed by the Mask Theatre from Bucharest is opening the Festival on July 14th. by the. \nIt is being followed by the plays “Young Stalin” by Šabac Theatre\, “Peer Gynt” by the Ensemble of the Academy of Arts from Belgrade\, “Čudo u poskokovoj dragi” by National Theatre from\, “Miracle in Šargan” by National Theatre from Užice\, “Opera Ultima” by Novi Sad Theatre\, “Stardust” by Vuk Karadžić Cultural Center from Belgrade. \nAwards for the best play\, direction and actor will be awarded at the festival. Plays will be performed at the Small and the Big Town at the Smederevo Fortress and at Republic Square. \nThe ticket price for the programs at the Small Town is 300 RSD\, and a set of tickets for all programs is 1\,500 RSD. \n

SUMMARY:Carnival of Vrnjci
DESCRIPTION:One of the largest tourist manifestations in Serbia\, after Brass festival in Guča and Exit festival\, the Carnival in Vrnjačka Banja is organized from July 14th till July 21st. \nDuring this traditional carnival\, Vrnjačka Banja turns into one big stage with masked balls\, exhibitions\, concerts\, plays and sport events. \nThe central event is the Great International Carnival Parade. Numerous carnival troops from around the world guarantee great fun and true festival spirit. \nYear after year\, this manifestation gathers more and more participants from the country and from around the world. \nIt is expected that this year the traditional carnival parade will gather the largest number of participants from the country and from abroad. \nGroups SARS\, “Sevdah baby”\, “Milligram”\, tribute bands “Balaševic” and “Bijelo dugme” will be perform at the Carnival in the Vrnjci Spa\, also. The visitors will be entertained by many DJs every night. \n“Carnival of the festivals” program will also include the “Festival of popular music” that gathers prominent names from the popular music scene. \nCarnival of Vrnjci has been awarded the “Tourist flower” award for the best tourist event by the Tourist Organization of Serbia with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Tourism. \nLast year\, the Carnival was visited by more than 250\,000 visitors. \n

SUMMARY:Mowing on Mt. Rajac 2013
DESCRIPTION:Tourist manifestation “Mowing on Mt. Rajac” with traditional cultural and artistic program\, traditional country party and the exhibition of agricultural machines\, will gather guests from different parts of the country and from abroad from July 12th till July 14th. The manifestation “Mowing on Mt. Rajac” was created in order to treasure the Serbian tradition of the mowing meadows on Mt. Rajac.\nThis manifestation symbolizes the end of hard and tiresome work on mowing mountain meadows and it is being held every year\, on the first Sunday after St. Peter’s Day. \nAfter the opening ceremony\, scythesmen\, accompanied by brass band\, water bearers and singers\, will head for the slopes of Mt. Rajac where they will be competing for the “Golden scythe”\, and this year “master of scythe” will officially be announced for the first time. After the winner is voted follows the scythesmen lunch on the meadow. \nLarge number of competitors from Serbia\, Bosnia and Herzegovina\, Montenegro\, Macedonia\, Croatia and Slovenia will enter the competition. \nMt. Rajac is one of the most beautiful mountains of the Valjevo mountain range that has always lured visitors. This mountain\, that the travelers named “Paradise on Earth” for its exceptional beauty\, is located in the Northwestern Serbia. There is also a modern tourist center with numerous accommodation and support facilities that will meet all visitors’ needs on Mt. Rajac.

DESCRIPTION:The 10th Belgrade Boat Carnival is taking place on July 6th\, on the Sava Passenger’s Dock/ Karađorđeva Street bb\, from the Branko’s Bridge to the Confluence and on the Plateau in front of the International Passengers’’ Terminal Belgrade Marine.\nThe inviting slogan is “Everybody to the Danube\, everybody to the Sava” and the slogan of the related eco campaign this year is “Clean and clear”. \nVisitors of this unique manifestation will have opportunity to see a parade of decorated vessels that will sail from different Belgrade marinas\, acrobatics on water and lots of fun on the beach. DESCRIPTION:Days of Drina Regatta is a manifestation organized from July 6th to July 13th in Ljubovija. SUMMARY:The Marry Race
DESCRIPTION:The Marry Race – sport\, eco\, tourist and popular manifestation\, will be organized on June 30th on the Ibar River. The Race is organized by the kayak club “Ibar”. \nTraditionally this Race has been organized since 1990 every last week in June\, and the number of participants has been increasing lately reaching the number of 10\,000 local and foreign participants. \nThe gathering of the participants will start several days before the race beneath the medieval city of Maglič\, 25 kilometers from the city of Kraljevo. \nCampers will come from around the country and the region to spend several days surrounded by the beauties of untouched nature. Maglič will play host to numerous parties and Kraljevo will host concerts and different sport and recreational events. \nBut everyone will be waiting for Sunday – the day that will be remembered by every participant in the Marry Race. The trumpet orchestra is also an essential part of the competition \nRafting on the Ibar River from the medieval city of Maglič will be interrupted only for a traditional bean lunch in Mataruška Spa. Many boats and rafts will finish the race here\, only the most persistent ones will continue the race to Kraljevo. \nOn that occasion all kinds of vessels\, mostly rafts made of different materials – plastic bottles\, metal barrels\, styrofoam\, but also the more serious rafts made of wood and metal\, can be seen on the Ibar River.

DESCRIPTION:The famous Italian tenor will be performing his concert at Belgrade’s Kombank Arena on May the 10th. \nThe Italian tenor\, who began to rise to fame during the nineties\, is returning to Belgrade after many\, hugely successful seasons\, several releases and sold out performances in some of the best known opera houses and larger venues throughout the world. His concerts are famed for their diverse repertoire drawing from many genres and for the excellent duets with stars such as Pavorotti and Domingo. DESCRIPTION:The 41st International Film Festival – FEST is taking place from February 22nd till March 3rd at the Sava Center and other venues under the slogan “Ready\, Set\, FEST”. FEST will be officially opened by American actor Michael Madsen. \nThis year’s FEST will be marked by extremely varied program\, by current films as well as by presence of famous worlds directors and actors. \nIn addition to films that have already win awards last year\, remarkable FEST program includes a few works that are serious contenders in the race for this year’s Oscars. As it is already a tradition\, the festival will\, be opened by the film that won the Golden Palm – “Love” by Michael Haneke. That film is also a candidate for the Oscar in several categories (for the best picture and best director). Goran Markovic’s new movie “Forger” closes 41st FEST\, and that will be the world premiere of this film\, also. \nThe well known FEST programs (“The Program”\, “Europe out of Europe”\, “Hollywood”\, “Europe in Europe”\, “World Film Panorama”\, “Selected documentaries”\, “In Focus: South America”\, “FEST presents: The new Serbian Film”) will include 75 films premieres. \nFEST program can be found at: \nhttp://www.fest.rs/program.php \n  \nThe “Round table” discussion about the future of film and digital revolution in the seventh art will be held as a an accompanying program of FEST. The “Round table” participants are protagonists of the film “Albert’s time\,” Albert Meyer “Panavision camera” creator\, Nikša Sviličić – director from Croatia\, Predrag Bambić as a moderator as well as a local film experts. \nAs in previous years\, the Festival will be held at the Sava Center\, Belgrade Youth Centre\, Hall of The Cultural Centre of Belgrade\, in the Cinematheque\, and the novelty is that films will be shown in “Fontana” cinema in New Belgrade. \nTickets will be priced at 150 to 350 RSD and they will be on sale from February 1st at the box office of these halls. Ticket price for the grand opening is 500 RSD. The discount of 10% on a set of cards is valid from February 1st till February 7th. \n
