SUMMARY:Joy of Europe 2013
DESCRIPTION:The traditional manifestation of children’s creativity\, “Joy of Europe”\, is being held in Belgrade from 2nd to 5 th October\, for the 44th time. This year’s theme of the event is Rock ‘n’ roll.\nDuring the five days of the largest and the oldest children’s event in the country\, kids from all over Europe will have a chance to meet\, hang out and presents themselves through various forms of artistic expression. \nThe program involves art schools\, cultural centers\, clubs\, associations and groups. Almost all European countries have had their young ones participating in the event. DESCRIPTION:Just like every year on the 21 of September on the holiday of Nativity the famous Šabac fair is held\, even though it officially lasts one day it always goes on for at least a few more.\nFor the duration of the fair\, Šaabac is covered with tents in which you can buy many different products. There are also tents where you can party until morning with all kinds of music or you can go on one of the carousel attractions. \nMerchants from all around the country and around come to offer the visitors clothes\, handmade objects toys\, barrels\, landmarks of the past \, liceder hearts\, candy\, “Orašnice” (a kind of walnut cake) and many other things. \nThe people of Šabac say that if you come to the fair and don’t buy anything you will have bad luck for a year.

SUMMARY:Sremski Karlovci Grape Harvest\, Groždjebal 2013
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Grožđebal (GrapeBall) in Sremski Karlovci is being held from 20th till 22th of September. Visitors will have the opportunity to buy all sorts of grapes\, wines and authentic souvenirs\, as well as enjoy the rich cultural and entertaining program.\nThe “Karlovac vintage 2013″ will be opened by the „Tamburitza players of Vojvodina“ (a string orchestra) at 8PM. At the same night\, after the first festival of new city song “Karlovačka jesen”\,  Andjelka Govedarović\, Milan Prunić and Tamburitza band “Zorule” will perform. \nSaturday brings joy to the youngest because the children’s plays that will be on dispay on the city square. At 4PM the “Wine Fest” starts\, and in the evening is resereved for the stars of the “First Voice of Serbia” Nevena Božović and Mirna Radulović. \nSunday is dedicated to the youngest. They will be entertained by interesting and funny plays on the city squre. \nThe final day of the event also begins with theater performances for children\, and the kids’ music festival “Licidersko srce” (Licider heart) is being held at 6PM. \nGrapeBall 2013 will be closed by the concert of Jelena Tomašević starting at 8PM. \n“Karlovac vintage” is an event that followed the tradition of a folk ceremony that celebrated the beginning of the grape harvest. This event was restored in 1992 after a 20-year break\, and is being held on the last weekend of September or the first weekend of Оctober ever since. \n

SUMMARY:GrapeBall in Vršac 2013
DESCRIPTION:The Grape Harvest Days\, an old manifestation in the city of Vršac is traditionally held on the third weekend of September. This year it takes place on the  20\, 21st and 22nd of September. This is the 56th edition of the event in the city that celebrates its fertile vineyards.\nThe day before\, on the 19th of September\, on the lookout near the Church of Saint Cross\, “Grožđebal” (Grape ball) will be greeted starting from 17h with free wine\, sausages and „tamburitza“ orchestras. \nThe main program starts on 20th September from 17h when some cultural programs will be organized in the city center. Visitors will enjoy fireworks\, grapes and wine exhibition\, the concert of music stars and a Miss Grape Harvest 2013 contest. \nOver the weekend\, there will also be a rich program for children. The young ones will enjoy a masked ball on Saturday at noon\, and in the afternoon the “Knights of wine” will take the stage . After that\, the visitors will enjoy the concert. \nOn Sunday\, 22nd September\, at noon\, the attractive carnival parade will pass through the city\, after which parachutes with grapes shall be dropped from an airplane flying above the city. \nThe festival program on Gradski trg (Town Square)\, starts at 17h and ends with a concert. \nThe first wine exhibition in Vršac was held in 1857 in the “The two keys“ restaurant\, and the first written document about wine is from 1494. year (when Hungarian King Vladislav II paid 10.5 ducats for a barrel of wine from Vršac). \nSince then the wine from this region is widely known\, and the Vršac wine route passes through it nowadays.

SUMMARY:Fish Fest
DESCRIPTION:The gastronomic and cultural manifestation “Fish Fest” will take place from August 5th to September 8th on the plateau near the Nebojša Tower in Belgrade.\nThis festival was created in order to remind visitors of the importance of the Sava and the Danube. The central event will be the competition in preparing fish soup. Top chefs from the region will be prepared fish soup and dishes of Mediterranean and Bosnian cuisine. They will present their skills\, as well as local restaurants and famous wineries from around Serbia. \nVisitors will also be able to try their luck in fishing competition\, while numerous writers\, actors\, singers and all lovers of river and fish specialties will participate in the side program. \nMusic program will be organized every evening. Local bands Gama\, Crvena jabuka will perform on Thursday\, September 5th\, on Friday – Apsolutno romantično and Plutonia. SUMMARY:Ljubičevo Horse Games 2013
DESCRIPTION:The 50th Ljubičevo Horse Games will be held from August 30th till September 1st at the hippodrome in Požarevac where modern knights and horsemen are going to engage into a “duel” at racetrack.\nThe program starts with the ceremonial parade of participants in the “Games on the streets of Požarevac”. Competitors will compete in several disciplines: Ljubičevo all-round competition\, throwing spiked club\, archery competition\, courier riding\, spear and sward competition. \nThe winner of the competition\, with the highest number of points\, wins the title “Knight of Ljubičevo”\, red knight’s cape and a sword on which a Chivalry motto is engraved: “Do not pull me without a cause – do not put me back without honor!” \nBesides galloping\, jumping and horse training\, visitors can also see the traditional attraction – children presenting the beginners’ exercises in horse riding for kids from the age of two to seven. Besides these events\, animal lovers can enjoy the horse and small animal exhibition. \nFlat race – “Ljubičevo Cup” is the central race and event of the manifestation\, in which best horses are competing as a test of speed\, stamina\, and jockey’s skills. \nSince 1964 Ljubičevo Horse Games have been organized each year on the first weekend in September. The Games originate from the long tradition of Ljubičevo stables – one of the oldest stables in Serbia. It is believed that Princess Ljubica wanted to build a residence far from city pollution for her oldest son Milan who was often ill. Prince Miloš gave order to plant an alley of oaks following the road from the estate to Požarevac. A residence and several stables were also built. And Ljubičevo stables were founded there\, on that estate that the Prince later gave away to the state. The name Ljubicevo was given by Prince Mihailo\, in memory of his mother\, Princess Ljubica.

DESCRIPTION:Collage festival or Cultural festival “Nušićijada” is being organized from August 3oth till September 1st in the town of Ivanjica. SUMMARY:Šumadija Fest 2013
DESCRIPTION:Šumadija Fest\, one of the most visited manifestations in Central Serbia that unites music\, art and sport\, takes place on August 23th and 24th at the plateau in front of “Kragujevac Fair”. During two days of the Festival\, numerous local bands and performers will perform on two stages\, while different sport manifestations will take place at the plateau.\nThe organizers have announced many popular artists. The first day of the Festival is reserved for the band Van Gogh\, S.A.R.S band from Serbia andWOPS band from Bulgaria. \nWho See Klapa\, a Montenegrin hip hop duo from the Bay of Kotor should not be missed on the second day of the Festival\, on August 24th. Besides them\, the stages will host the Belgrade hip-hop band Bad copy\, as well as famous DJs Geo Da Silva and DJ Tom Novy. SUMMARY:Eco Regatta Tamiš 2013
DESCRIPTION:The 4th Eco Regatta Tamiš takes place from August 23th till August 25th along the stretch of river Tamiš from the town of Pančevo and the confluence of the Tamiš into the Danube to Opovo\, and it will gather old and new participants of the regatta\, river admirers and experienced “river wolfs”.\nEncouraged by the initiative to restore the Tamiš’s status of a waterway\, the organizers of this regatta initiated a manifestation that aims to raise people’s awareness about the importance of protection of the Tamiš and the entire Danube Basin. \nOrganizers expect this year’s regatta to attract larger number of participants\, since the regatta in last two years attracted lots of attention of boaters and river admirers. \nThe regatta will start with the gathering of participants in Pančevo and the vessels will set off between 10 and 11 AM. The participants of the regatta will carry regatta symbols and promotional material that will be distributed along the way. \nDuring the regatta\, the participants will support the aim of this manifestation by joining numerous cleaning activities of the river banks. \nSailing upstream to Opovo\, participants will have the opportunity to prove that the Tamiš can once again be a navigable river and to emphasize the importance of nautical tourism on this. \nThis initiative has included all towns and villages along the Tamiš in this eco program that aims to inspire ecological awareness of locals and emphasize the significance of protection of river course and banks. \nAfter the regatta and eco activities\, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the specialties of local fishermen with the sounds of tamburitza. \nThe Tamiš is a river of the Danube Basin that once had very live river traffic\, and during the winter season it was a winter port for boats. The former significance of the Tamiš is confirmed by the fact that once there was also a large “Fernbach“ shipyard.

DESCRIPTION:This year’s 11th Summer3p festival will be held from 18th to 21st July at the Thermal Pools and Men’s Lido in Palić. There will be excellent dance music of different provenance\, as well as socially responsible campaigns and projects which are an inseparable part of this festival.\nOut of the twenty names of performers that can be found on the list of this year’s Summer3p festival\, aside from local support\, there are famous DJs from Germany\, Greece and Hungary. \nJames Cole – DJ\, editor in chief\, club owner\, graphic designer – arrives from Hungary to the Summer3p festival on Thursday\, 18th July. The first day of the festival starts with the only lady in this year’s line-up – the charismatic Tijana Kabić. Local support on the same night by Needle and Faktor X. \nOn the second day of the festival\, Friday 19th July\, Kid Panel (Hungary) arrives. He has performed at a series of events entitled “Feel the Funk Baby“ in various underground clubs in Hungary\, Spain and Italy. He was support to DJs like Krafty Kuts\, Koma & Bones and Sam Hell\, Aquasky\, A.skillz\, as well as Basement Freaks. A name like Pale Penguin\, who will also perform on the second day of the festival\, promises an excellent set. Ronin8 and Geroxy will be local support on the second day of Summer3p. \nAlex Niggemann\, a talented DJ\, producer and owner of Soulfooled from Berlin who makes a great parties\, will perform on the Moon Stage\, on Saturday 20th July. On the same night Minimalistic\, Mark Myself and Chrono & Ascaloon will also perform. \nOn the last day of the festival\, Sunday 21st July\, a big closing party will be held. SUMMARY:The Drina Regatta in Bajina Bašta
DESCRIPTION:The Drina Regatta in Bajina Bašta is being organized from July 16th till July 20st. The Drina Regatta is the most visited tourist and recreation manifestation and the central event in the Western Serbia. This year’s 20th regatta will offer a rich side program like in previous years.\nBeside sports and recreational programs\, the organizers have announced the concerts of famous bands – Toni Cetinski\, Plavi orkestar\, Kiki i Piloti\, Bijesovi\, Hladno pivo\, Hypnotized. \nThe competition of young and pioneer brass bands from the Western Serbia and the Moravica District and the Raška district is taking place on the last day of the manifestation. This is the qualifications for the entering to the 53rd Brass Festival in Čuča. \nThe competition in preparing fish soup starts at Thursday\, July 18th\, and the program continues with the Games without borders on Perućac Lake and the competition in swimming across the lake. \nThe Competition Regatta starts at Friday\, July 19th at 4 pm. After the jumping from the bridge\, follows the traditional MOST FEST – at the confluence of the Rača into the Drina\, with the performances of the bend Plavi orkestar\, Toni Cetinski and Bijesovi. \nThe main regatta starts at July the 20th at 11 am on Perućac lake with the goal at Rogačica. DESCRIPTION:One of the largest tourist manifestations in Serbia\, after Brass festival in Guča and Exit festival\, the Carnival in Vrnjačka Banja is organized from July 14th till July 21st. \nDuring this traditional carnival\, Vrnjačka Banja turns into one big stage with masked balls\, exhibitions\, concerts\, plays and sport events. \nThe central event is the Great International Carnival Parade. SUMMARY:Mowing on Mt. Rajac 2013
DESCRIPTION:Tourist manifestation “Mowing on Mt. Rajac” with traditional cultural and artistic program\, traditional country party and the exhibition of agricultural machines\, will gather guests from different parts of the country and from abroad from July 12th till July 14th. The manifestation “Mowing on Mt. Rajac” was created in order to treasure the Serbian tradition of the mowing meadows on Mt. Rajac.\nThis manifestation symbolizes the end of hard and tiresome work on mowing mountain meadows and it is being held every year\, on the first Sunday after St. Peter’s Day. \nAfter the opening ceremony\, scythesmen\, accompanied by brass band\, water bearers and singers\, will head for the slopes of Mt. Rajac where they will be competing for the “Golden scythe”\, and this year “master of scythe” will officially be announced for the first time. After the winner is voted follows the scythesmen lunch on the meadow. \nLarge number of competitors from Serbia\, Bosnia and Herzegovina\, Montenegro\, Macedonia\, Croatia and Slovenia will enter the competition. \nMt. Rajac is one of the most beautiful mountains of the Valjevo mountain range that has always lured visitors. This mountain\, that the travelers named “Paradise on Earth” for its exceptional beauty\, is located in the Northwestern Serbia. There is also a modern tourist center with numerous accommodation and support facilities that will meet all visitors’ needs on Mt. Rajac.

SUMMARY:Belgrade Boat Carnival
DESCRIPTION:The 10th Belgrade Boat Carnival is taking place on July 6th\, on the Sava Passenger’s Dock/ Karađorđeva Street bb\, from the Branko’s Bridge to the Confluence and on the Plateau in front of the International Passengers’’ Terminal Belgrade Marine.\nThe inviting slogan is “Everybody to the Danube\, everybody to the Sava” and the slogan of the related eco campaign this year is “Clean and clear”. \nVisitors of this unique manifestation will have opportunity to see a parade of decorated vessels that will sail from different Belgrade marinas\, acrobatics on water and lots of fun on the beach. Within the music program on the stage by the Branko’s Bridge music group „Babe“\, „Đura i mornari“\, Carnival Heat Duo and Jonas Knoph from Germany will perform for visitors. \nTraditionally\, competition for the Queen of the Carnival will be held on 4th of July at the Naxi Beach in front of the Usce Shopping Center\, followed by the show of entertainers\, music concerts and cocktail. \nFree cruises on boat “Kornjača” (Turtle)\, will be organized for all visitors from 5 to 8 pm.
